Q: How far will you travel to do inspections?

A: BRMD will travel anywhere as our main goal is to help people who may be suffering from mold illness. If you are outside our surrounding area, we will strive to book multiple inspections to cut down on travel expenses.

Q: Why use a mold dog instead of traditional testing?

A: Mold dogs can detect the exact source points with extreme precision. Traditional test (air tests, ERMI, etc) measure what is floating in the air, not where it’s coming from. Mold dogs are an incredible tool if you are looking for accuracy, non-invasive, and cost effective detection.

Q: How accurate are mold dogs?

A: A trained mold dog’s nose is up to 100,000x more sensitive than human’s. Buck is trained on 16 genuses of mold and over 100,000 species.

Q: What does the inspection process look like?

A: Before your inspection, Jordan will gather relative information in regards to the structure. At this time, you will share any concerns and upon arrival, Jordan will complete a full outdoor inspection and an indoor walkthrough. Jordan will retrieve Buck and will conduct a controlled scent inspection of the structure. Jordan will make all alert locations appropriately and return Buck to his kennel. Jordan will then go through with the homeowner / POC and review findings and recommended next steps.

Q: Will the dog damage anything during the inspection?

A: No. During the indoor visual inspection, if there is anything that could pose an issue, it will be addressed before Buck’s entry. Buck will not scratch, dig, or disturb surfaces or furniture. Buck gives a passive alert by sitting allowing his handler to mark the spot safely and cleanly.

Q: Is the dog safe around kids and pets?

A: Yes! Buck is a soft, lovable boy however during inspections, we ask that you keep your animal with you. While Buck is on a mission, having other distractions can cause the handler to miss important alerts. You don’t have to leave the home, we just ask you give the team space to do our best work.
